History of VVC
Doctors Nelson & Julie Agen started Valley Veterinary Clinic out of their home in August of 1971. Julie took care of small animals and Nels, as he is fondly referred to by staff and clients, specialized in dairy work. In 1978, the clinic was built at 707 Woodland Plaza where it was a mixed animal practice up until 1982, when Julie took the small animal portion of the business to a separate building. At Valley Veterinary Clinic, dairy business continued to grow and Nels partnered with Dr. Jack Hansen who joined the practice in 1978 and Dr. Brian Maas in 1983. Over the years, Dr. Terry Homan, Dr. Eric Swenson, Dr. Steve Cove, Dr. Fred Ballweg and most recently Dr. Mark Sauder have been added to the company's partnership. Dr. Joel Franks, Dr. Pamela Draheim, Dr. Jon Garber, Dr. Jenny Bjorge, Dr. Race Price, and Dr. Brian Stampfl have been hired in the past 5-10 years and work as associates of the practice.
