Mark and his wife Ashley both originally hail from the flatlands of central Illinois.  He grew up in a rural ag community and worked on dairies in high school and college, where he fell in love with dairy cows. Mark is a 2012 graduate from the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine, and joined VVC that same year. He is a member of the VVC Genetic Services team. Mark and Ashley have maintained a decent calving interval with their small posse of children; Reuben, Vienna, Victoria, Madison, and Geneva (yes, Ashley approved that statement). When he's not working hard as a VVC Veterinarian, Dr. Sauder may be found wrestling with his children, creating something made out of wood, or watching a movie with his wife.
