Nelson J. Agen, DVM

Picture
Dr. Agen is the original founder of Valley Veterinary Clinic. He began the practice in 1971 and has been practicing veterinary medicine ever since. He originally comes from Barron, Wisconsin. Nels completed his undergraduate work in 1967 at the University of Wisconsin - River Falls & his DVM was earned through the University of Minnesota in 1971. In his spare time, Nels enjoys eating out with family & watching DVD's with his wife Julie. His family is active at the New Hope Presbyterian Church, where he serves as an Elder & Sunday School teacher. Nels & his wife have three sons: Nathan, Matt & Josh. They also have a daughter, Jerusha & a beloved grandaughter, Keziah.

After many years in the veterinary profession, Dr. Agen retired in the Spring of 2018.  We were lucky to work with him for many great years and wish him a happy, healthy, and relaxing retirement!
